About Our Team
David J. Kurland
David has practiced law in Florida for more than 50 years. He actively practices in criminal law,
family law and civil litigation. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in
1967 and Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1970. He is admitted to
practice before the Florida Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Middle District
of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. In 1973, he was admitted to
practice before the United States Supreme Court. David served as an assistant state attorney for the
Sixth Judicial Circuit for Pinellas and Pasco counties. He also co-authored the book, Legal First Aid
for Today’s High Society - Everything You Must Know About Drug Laws and the Rightsthat Protect
You. The book informs citizens of their constitutional rights when confronted by the police.
Sheila has practiced law in the Pinellas County area for more than 30 years and has been associated
with the Law Office of David J. Kurland for more than 25 years. She is experienced in family law,
criminal law and civil litigation. Ms. Skellie graduated from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York, in 1984 and Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1989. She was admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court that same year. Sheila has practiced law in the Pinellas County area for more than 30 years and has been associated with the Law Office of David J. Kurland for more than 25 years. She is experienced in family law, criminal law, and civil litigation.
